Memories of the resorts, old Moodus Center, the mills and more, as you see it

Prior to launching EastHaddamStories.org, local digital media creator Ken Simon regularly shared content exploring East Haddam's rich history on his website, SimonPure.com. Launched way back in 1999 (when dial-up was still a thing), the site hosted a blog, where people shared personal stories, quirky anecdotes, and heartfelt reflections on the town and its heritage.

The results were a trove of grassroots memories and stories about East Haddam's once-thriving resorts, tales of its bustling mills, the charm of old Moodus Center, its agricultural traditions, and more. They combined to form a digital scrapbook that celebrates the people, places, and moments that shaped the town.

Fast forward to today: We've reimagined the blog for East Haddam Stories to make it easy to explore its updated content. The Default View shows all posts in chronological order, with the most recent posts appearing at the top.
